Thank you for choosing to book your waste collection with Junk Taxi.

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By booking a clearance with us, the person making the booking confirms their acceptance of these terms and conditions. If the booking is made on behalf of another party, such as a property owner, tenant, managing agent, friend, or any other representative overseeing the clearance, it is the responsibility of the person booking to ensure that the terms and conditions are shared with all relevant parties. The person making the booking accepts full liability for any issues arising from a failure to communicate these terms and conditions to the appropriate individuals.

Floor Protection During Clearances from Outside Areas

When a clearance is carried out from an outside area where waste must be transported through the property, it is the responsibility of the client or the person overseeing the clearance to protect the flooring. Our team will take all reasonable steps to minimize any mess; however, we cannot guarantee that no dirt or debris will be tracked through. If floor protection is required, the client must ensure suitable coverings are in place before the clearance begins.

Loft Clearances

Loft clearances can be particularly dusty and dirty due to the nature of the environment. It is the responsibility of the client or the person overseeing the clearance to protect any flooring, furniture, or surrounding areas that may be affected by dust and debris. While our team will take care to minimize disruption, we strongly recommend that protective coverings are put in place before the clearance starts.

If there are no fixed loft boards in place, the client acknowledges that proceeding with the clearance carries a risk of damage to the ceilings below. While our team will take every precaution to work carefully, we cannot be held liable for any damage caused due to the absence of secure loft flooring.

Use of Lifts for Clearance

If the client confirms that a lift is available for use during the clearance, this means they are also confirming that the items to be cleared will fit inside the lift. If, upon arrival, the items do not fit in the lift or the lift is unavailable for use, the cost of the clearance will need to be revised accordingly to account for additional time, labour, or alternative removal methods.

Damages

Some items are heavy, large, or difficult to remove from a property. We do our best not to touch walls, ceilings, doors, or floors, in some cases this may not be possible, and marks and chips may occur. We advise customers to protect floors and stairs with appropriate sheeting to avoid marks or damages, or bring all waste to ground floor level, ready for collection. We do not accept any liability for such damages. We can guarantee that we will take special take to avoid damages.

Payment

Payment can be made by cash or card on collection to the team completing your collection. A VAT receipt can be sent via email on request. If you have an account with us your invoice will be sent once the clearance has been completed and payment will be due on receipt of invoice.

Cancellations

Once your collection has been booked, we stop taking further booking for that time slot. If your collection needs to be cancelled, please give us as much notice as possible. A £30 fee may be charged if you do not cancel your collection by 10am on your collection date, or if you are not at the collection site and we cannot complete the arranged clearance at the agreed time.

Arrival Slots
You may of be given a time slot for the team to arrival, this is an estimated time of arrival. We do experience delays due to our customers adding more to their collections resulting in us needing to tip at the waste transfer station sooner than planned, this does have a knock-on effect and may affect the slot you had been given. We do our best to arrive in the times given and our team work hard to get to you as quickly as possible. You will receive a text notification when the team are on route.
